Alex In The Snow

Our young guest writer Alex de Leeuw is back to tell us all about the fun he is having this December as he waits for Father Christmas .

Alex In The Snow
“Het sneeuwt!”
Vandaag was heel erg leuk, want het sneeuwde.

“It’s Snowing!”
Today I was very excited because it was snowing.

Alex In The Snow Cold
Ik ben buiten gaan spelen. Er lag heel veel sneeuw en het was koud.

I went outside to play. The snow was really deep… and cold.

Alex In The Snow Snowman
Ik heb een sneeuwpop gemaakt…
“Ik noem hem Fred.”

I made a snowman…
“I call him Fred.”

Alex In The Snow Snow Fort
…en een sneeuwfort…
“Ik heb sneeuwballen en ik zal ze gebruiken ook!”

… and a snow fort…
“I have a snowball and I’m not afraid to use it.”

Alex In The Snow Snowball
…en een sneeuwengel…
“Sneeuwengel! Weeee!”

… and a snow angel…
“Snow Angel! Weeee!”

Alex In The Snow Snow Angel
…ik speelde uren.
“Ik krijg het nu wel een beetje koud.”

… and played for hours.
“I’m starting to get a little cold now.”

Alex In The Snow Getting Cold
Aan het einde van de dag ben ik weer naar binnen gegaan waar het lekker warm was…

At the end of the day I went back inside where it was nice and warm…

Alex In The Snow Christmas Tree
“Hoelang nog voordat de kerstman komt?”
Prettige kerstdagen en een gelukkig nieuw jaar!

“How long till father Christmas arrives?”
Merry Chrsitmas and a Happy New Year!

  14. Keith says:

You can’t fool me Stu. I know it’s only a puppet and it’s really you pulling the strings and writing the text

Unless the lion is real and you are the puppet, and we’ve all been fooled all these years!

  15. Invader Stu says:

Thank you Andrew and French Bean. I hope you had a great Christmas too and will have a great new years eve.

Must we go over this every time Keith. You are hurting Alex’s feelings :p

  16. Keith says:

Well, I’m just a grumpy old git and I must live up to my reputation.

Alex, I’m sorry, I know that really that it’s you that writes this blog and Stu is just a figment of your imagination;a sort of non-de-plume.

  17. Invader Stu says:

There… don’t you feel better now.

    – Imaginary Invader Stu

  18. Expat Julia says:
